Warranty & Returns
At TodayTech Computers, we stand behind the products we sell.
If something isn’t right, we’ll work with you to resolve it fairly, efficiently, and in line with Australian Consumer Law.
Please read the information below to understand how returns and warranties are handled.
Faulty Products
If a product is faulty, we will provide a replacement or refund (at our discretion), subject to the conditions below.
Warranty periods:

Genuine cartridges: 90 days

Non-genuine cartridges: 12 months
To process a faulty product return:
-
The product must not have been refilled or tampered with
-
The product must be returned for inspection and/or testing
-
You must email us to request a Return Authorisation (RA) before returning the item

A copy of the RA email must be included with the return
-
A sample faulty print must accompany the returned cartridge
-
Faulty cartridges must be returned via Registered Post
Please pack returned items in an outer box or padded envelope to protect the original packaging.

Important: Replacement products are issued only after the faulty product (or batch number) has been received and verified. This is standard industry practice and applies equally to online and retail purchases.
Original shipping charges are not refundable.
Customers are responsible for return postage; we cover the shipping cost of replacement items.
Incorrectly Ordered Products
If an incorrect product has been ordered, we may accept a return at our discretion, subject to the following conditions:

The product must be unopened, unused, and in re-saleable condition

A Return Authorisation (RA) must be obtained by email
-
The item must be returned within 7 days of receipt
-
The product must be a regularly stocked item
-
Returns must be sent via Registered Post
A credit (not a refund) will be issued once the item is received and approved.

A 10% restocking fee applies
-
Original shipping charges are not refundable
Unused Cartridges Due to Printer Failure
If your printer fails and you have unused cartridges:

We may consider a return if the cartridges are sealed, unused, and less than 6 months old
-
A restocking fee applies:
-
10% if you purchase a replacement printer from us
-
25% if no replacement printer is purchased
-
Approval is at the discretion of TodayTech Computers.
Product Warranty Coverage
Genuine Printer Consumables
Genuine consumables are covered against defects in materials or workmanship for 90 days from invoice date, unless otherwise stated.
Returned items may be tested by us or sent to the manufacturer for verification. This process may take time, particularly if manufacturer testing is required.
Non-Genuine Printer Consumables
Non-genuine consumables (compatible or re-manufactured) are covered for:

12 months against defects
-
30 days against print quality issues (test print required)
Testing or manufacturer verification may be required before a resolution is provided.
Other Products & Equipment
Warranty periods for hardware and other products are outlined in the individual product descriptions.
Some manufacturers may require warranty claims to be handled directly. If this applies, we will advise you when your claim is lodged.
Equipment Damage Warranty (Consumables Only)
If a defective consumable causes damage to your printing equipment, we may cover reasonable repair costs, provided that:

We are notified in writing within 14 days of the damage occurring
-
A signed report from a qualified service technician is supplied
-
The report confirms the consumable caused the damage
-
Manufacturer confirmation is provided if requested
Subject to these conditions, we may repair the equipment or reimburse repair costs.
This represents the full extent of our liability under this warranty.
